Pre-publish manuscript file checking and correcting:
When you submit the final draft of your manuscript file for publication you are asked to confirm that it is correctly formatted and fully checked and corrected. We will do our own checks on your manuscript but we do not do more than basic copy editing nor will we undertake a full proof read. If you would rather make sure everything is checked and correctly by using the services of a specialist then we offer this as a service.
What we can offer is a package that comprises:
a) Formatting your manuscript Word document to comply with the technical requirements needed for us to be able to process it into an eBook or paper book.
b) Checking and correcting the manuscript for errors including; typos, spelling mistakes, punctuation mistakes and grammatical mistakes. Note that this is done with a light touch rather than pedantically and any issues are flagged up for you to consider.
c) Carrying out all the corrections and changes in the manuscript file so all you have to do is address any issues that require your input.
First you pay for a sample check on the first 1000 words. Then, based on that you are offered the completion of the rest of your manuscript for a fixed price.
Cover design:
The creation of a template based cover is included in your membership. This is typically a piece of in-house generated artwork and sometimes includes a library image. However, if you would rather have a cover designed by a specialist book cover designer then you have a couple of options:
- You may like to source your own cover if you have access to a designer. In which case we will provide you with a specification of size, image resolution and layout limitations for the title and author name. For paper books the back cover needs to include an ISBN barcode. We supply the barcode image.
- Alternatively we have a small number of designers on our books. The fee of an in-house freelance illustrator who can produce a bespoke design for you will be £495.
- Finally, we have access to 3rd party professional designers who charge from £950 depending on the designer and choice of design.

Republish your book with corrections:
Sometimes, authors notice that even after their thorough checks mistakes have still been made. If this is the case, do not despair, as we are happy to republish for a fee of £49 for just the eBook edition of £74 for eBook and Paper edition.. If the changes are very minor, we would suggest keeping a record and batching them up to do all in one go to avoid costs.
We suggest, that to avoid this happening in the first place, you use our checking service or use a proof reader or ask capable friends and family members to go through and check your book for corrections numerous times before having it published. This is not just to save money, but also to ensure that your book is not given negative reviews as a result. This is especially important on exterior sites such as Amazon, because reviews cannot be removed from their sites.
If you would like to republish with us, what we will need from you is a full set of detailed corrections with reference to the existing edition so that we can identify the changes you would like made.
