Who put the cat out for the night?

There once was a duck called Luck, he lived in truck

"No pets", they told me
when I signed the tenancy,
and vis-a-vis the
spiders I would make welcome,
discreetly I held my tongue

There was a lady from How Wood.
Who thought that she would do good.
So up and down the road she would go.
Sometimes fast, and sometimes slow.
Till she spied what she was looking for.
It really should be against the law.
She would scoop it up in her poo bag.
Honestly, some people make her lose her rag
It's really not that hard to do
Picking up your own dogs poo.

As a little girl I loved my cat
She licked my face and hair
Her fur was soft and smelt so nice
And she was always there
She looked at me with great intent
Her eyes were green and blue
She adored me and I adored her
That I knew was true
That little puss was my best friend
And when she was gone I cried
I hope I can love again like that
God only knows I've tried
