Self-publishing what, why, how?

Self-publishing is the publication of a book by the author without the involvement of a conventional publisher. The author has full control and responsibility but also carries all the costs and all the risks.

Conventional publishers typically only publish books that they are confident will be commercially successful. It means that many books with real merit are rejected. No wonder that many authors turn to self-publishing. Unfortunately, self-publishing is often done very badly with the author making elementary and disastrous mistakes so that what had the makings of a successful book is a complete flop. The situation is made worse by the fact that there are so many self-published books that it is very hard to separate the wheat from the chaff.

We believe that most authors can with the right help turn their works into books that will be well received by their target audience. The books might not become the short-term best sellers that conventional publishers want but in the long run can sell well.

What we offer is a co-operative partnership with authors that aims to offer the better elements of self-publishing with the benefits available from conventional publishing.
How we do that is through providing a complete package that helps each author write, publish and promote a good book.

Our Print on Demand (PoD) option available to you when you publish with us means that you can buy copies of your own book at self-publishing prices (or even lower!) and in small quantities. That means you don’t have to fund an expensive and risky print run of lost of books.

So why not sign up as an author with us?
